Airport Rules

Please review these rules so we can keep the airport functional for all owners and guests...

  • Traffic pattern altitude is 1940 feet MSL
  • Jets, helicopters, lighter-than-air aircraft and ultralight aircraft are not allowed to use the airport
  • Touch-and-Go’s are not permitted at the airport
  • Radio communication (position and intensions) for landing/departing aircraft is required on 122.9 to ensure safe operation on and around the airport
  • Runway 19 is the preferred departure runway (over the lake) when it can be used safely with a left or right turn to avoid overflying the island neighborhood to the south
  • Leave the pilot’s lounge cleaner than you found it
  • Pay landing and tie-down fees so we can continue to welcome visitors to Canyon Lake
  • Parachuting/skydiving is not allowed at the airport without prior written approval from the Canyon Lake Council of Co-Owners
  • Only properly registered aircraft and persons holding a current pilot’s certificate issued by the FAA may operate on or over the airport
  • Any person, corporation or individual, and the owner of any aircraft causing damage of any kind to the airport, whether through violation of any of these rules or through vandalism or any act of negligence, shall be liable to the Canyon Lake Airport Council of Co-Owners
  • Any person entering the airport property does so at his/her own risk and shall indemnify and hold the Canyon Lake Airport Council of Co-Owners harmless for any injury or damage to person or property
